SUGGESTIONS AND REMINDERS !
These are a few key pointers to keep in mind when Role Playing on our site, as well as many sites in general. Please take them into consideration before posting.
Don't overload yourself with weapons and abilities!
This looks quite tacky and sounds like a child trying to hoard everthing to themselves. Instead, think deeply about your character and what they would carry with them. Keep it practical, and stylish. Role Play combat is not won by having the best weapons, but by the quality of your writing.
You are not a ninja!
Well, you might be, but most of you are not! Katana's are so overused that it's rather frustrating. They're great looking weapons and all, but it'll be said again - show some style and creativity behind your character. This is not a ban on their usage, however.
Firearms!
Once again, you need to be realistic when using one of these. Things like ammo and reloading need to be taken into consideration. We'd also prefer if people didn't abuse guns in combat situations. If we see this happening, their use will be banned.
Killing in your territory!
In your territories' base, you are permitted to kill non-members of your territory without that characters permission. This does not mean you can simply state that you kill them because they're there. You still need to land your blows and whatnot. This also isn't an invitation to attack everyone in your territory. Though this will still occur often, keep in mind people won't kep doing it if you can kill them and they can't kill you. This is implimented to add a realistic sense of fear when approaching the stronghold of an enemy, nothing more.
Let's all be friends and hold hands!
Nooooooo! This is bad! This is a conflict based site. That means that our plot gets advanced by things like fights, alliances and backstabbing. In these situations, you would not be everybodies friend, quite the opposite actually. We're not trying to say, "FRIENDS ARE BAD! KILL EVERYONE! MUHAHAHAH!", though you can do that if you wish, that's always fun. Just please, keep it realistic. A Numot is not going to be chummy with too many Vampires, no?
Backstabbing is kind of fun...
Guess what? People aren't very nice, especially when they're desperate and trying to get what they want. Don't be afraid to do something drastic. Usually this kind of thing adds to plot very nicely, so go for it!
Leadership Positions
Our site offers many roles of leadership for you to potentially play. They are given in a first come, first serve basis. If you take up such a role, we ask a few things of you. First, you must remain active. This means, more or less, 3 posts per week and activity in the c-box. Try to make decisions in character that would reflect your clan. No destroying your own clan! Set an example. Your posts will be looked at by many. Please try to practice proper grammar and spelling, and keep your profile looking good.
