MOUTH AND NOSE BENEATH THE SURFACE
MOUTH AND NOSE BENEATH THE SURFACE
EYES: Light brown in color.
HAIR: Her hair is past her shoulders but often has extensions in it as well, making it appear longer than it actually is. It's layered and she has her bangs side swept but not enough to cover her eyes. Lola's hair color as a general rule changes depending on what she feels like in the moment. Usually however it's black and pink, or simply some form of pink. Her natural hair color is a mousey brown color but she hasn't had it that color since she was younger, and she prefers to do her own hair rather than have someone else try and style it.
WEIGHT: 96 pounds.
HEIGHT: 5’4”
APPEARANCE:
Lola appears to be a very free spirit with what she wears. There are days where she can appear rather girly and others perhaps a little bit trashy. She likes to look good and usually dresses how her mood and attitude are that day. She's into fashion enough to know what works for her but not enough to really bother caring what other people say about her 'fashion sense' or lack there of. She's often found wearing band shirts that she's edited herself or wearing vintage clothing with lots of jewelry. She's not one to wear hats very often but she loves sunglasses.
She has two birthmarks above her lip on the left side of her face, one located more on her cheekbone than anything. She has a septum ring along with formerly having her lip pierced twice, although she does every now and then wear the hoops if the holes aren't closed.
WEAPONRY:The only weaponry that Lola possesses would be her bear mace, which is safely tucked into an easy to reach compartment of her purse. She doesn't like violence or weapons, including knives or guns and so although some have called her foolish for only having mace with her she'd feel far too paranoid running around with a loaded gun or a switchblade.
EQUIPMENT:Generally speaking Lola's purse contains most of her 'equipment'. Her phone is key and everything else in between can really be found in her purse. It's quite heavy and has been known to hurt when... or rather if she swings it at you and makes contact. She's also seen carrying around a guitar case, depending what she's doing or where she's going.
ABILITY:N/A.
if ever brave enough to stand in their way
OUT OF SIGHT AND OUT OF MIND, WE REMAIN
OUT OF SIGHT AND OUT OF MIND, WE REMAIN
LIKES: metal, music, partying, boys, drinking, socializing, working, performing, standing out, attention, tattoo's, piercings, etc.
DISLIKES: snobs, jerks, arrogance, violence, backstabbers, country & rap music, whores, cheaters, fakes, liars, people who chew their food with their mouths open, etc.
STRENGTHS: Hard working, persistent, determined, well organized, a team player, a quick learner, and highly energetic.
WEAKNESSES: Naive, impatient, work-a-holic behaviour, sensitive (taking some things to heart when she shouldn't), perfectionist.
QUIRKS/HABITS: Lola often bites her nails when she's stressed or nervous and this means that she hardly ever has any nail, not that it'd be good considering her guitar playing. She also has an unexplainable eye twitch (in her left eye) when she's extremely frustrated or aggravated by someone but cannot express it to them, or simply doesn't want to because she's trying to be nice. Lola also has a tendency to twirl her hair when she finds herself attracted to someone.
FEARS: Being unable to get to the level of success she wants, a fear of dying, a fear of living alone for the rest of her life.
GOALS: To be the head recording engineer at her current place of employment or become a full time studio musician, and to find love in a city that seems to be filled with so much pain.
PERSONALITYLola looks like a bit of a party girl and a rebel and to some extent she is, but that's just one layer to her. Due to her chosen career path Lola knows she has to go out to places and meet people as well as keep up appearances. She likes to go out and have a good time without getting stupid and isn't willing to let someone tell her she cant' do something because she's a 'girl' or because it seems unreachable.
She's a very hard worker and very determined. One thing you can guarantee is that if you tell Lola she can't do something she'll do everything in her power to prove you wrong. There is nothing more she enjoys than accomplishing something at work and having it go according to plan, or being praised for her hard work.
Although she does seem to look a little bit obnoxious Lola is genuinely a sweetheart. She doesn't trust very easy but she does believe that there is some form of good in everyone and will not be so quick to judge upon meeting someone. If you seem like a genuine person she will do anything for you and share some of her more personal struggles with you. She's also a hopeless romantic, although she would claim otherwise.
Lola has no issue with going to a concert for a date and grabbing a bite to eat afterwards but she would rather snuggle up near a warm fire and watch a movie with someone or have a romantic candlelit dinner, or even a walk on the beach. She's not opposed to going paint balling or seeing a slasher flick as a date, but the inner girl comes out (especially when it's with someone she's been seeing for a while) and they really treat her like a lady.

OF A WORLD JUST OUT OF VIEW

MOTHER: Olivia Sophie Sparks, 48, living
FATHER: Benjamin Zachariah Sparks, 49, living
SIBLINGS: N/A
OTHER: Marideth Syvil Sparks , 70, living - grandmother. The one person in Lola's entire family that she felt she could ever speak to and relates best to. She doesn't always speak to her grandmother but the woman has had a very large impact on her life, telling her to always go for her dreams and thus she's an very big role model in Lola's life.
PLACE OF BIRTH: Timmins, Ontario, Canada.
RESIDENCE: I've got a small little apartment that suits me.
HISTORY:Born and raised in a rather small town Lola always felt a bit different. She wanted to be the one that stood out, and despite her shy self at a young age liked to express herself. When she was younger she actually wore a lot of baggy clothing that made it appear as though she was overweight and often got picked on by children in her elementary school because of it.
High school was a better experience for Lola and it was a place where she began to embrace her inner quirkiness and need to feel and look different than others. She started dying her hair, wearing funky clothing, she even modelled for a short time but it didn't interest her. Lola had found her calling when she was only ten, and she planned to stick to it.
Seeking refuge Lola looked to music to help her get through her sorrows and took solace in heavy metal. She started playing guitar at the age of ten and although she was mostly self taught, decided to take some lessons to help her skill. Although Lola enjoyed creating music and performing it she knew she wanted to be someone behind the scenes rather than being on stage in front of thousands of people, or even hundreds. When it was time to pick a college at the age of seventeen she decided to go to one that offered a state of the art recording program, where she was accepted.
There she attended for two years and graduated with her degree and after an internship during her final year of said education she got an offer to move to New York and work as a studio engineer. How awesome was that? Ever since she's been in New York, much to her parent's dismay (oh they're big old worry warts!) and trying to break even every pay-check. She makes pretty good money at her job for having just started a couple of months ago, and every now and then books herself a gig in a bar here and there for some extra cash to allow herself a bit of splurging money.
Lola is unaware of the current war going on and is blissfully naive about the topic. She still thinks that vampires are things that Anne Rice and Stephen King write about and nothing more, although she's met a few people who claim to be clinical vampires (such liars, if she only knew!). It has affected her in the workplace however, every now and then being called not to come into work due to an 'incident' going on at the studio, but she doesn't question... much.

EXPLAIN YOURSELF: I was looking for a different site where I could play a girl and like the environment (generally speaking I play males), as well I've been wanting to make Lola for a while. It'll be interesting to see how she comes to interact with everyone and I want to develop her more as a character, that being said I'm also a rather large fan of Audrey Kitching's appearance (not her social life). Although she can be a little bit 'rugged' at times at least she isn't afraid to be herself. That and I haven't been on a vampire site in forever, and I thought it was high time.
MEMBER TITLE: The Pink Flamingo
EXAMPLE:
She was going to be late for work, again. It wasn't her intention to show up late but the power in her building had been going out throughout the week, something she could not fully understand due to the vast amount of money she paid to live in such a hovel. You'd think they would at least be paying their electric bill! Running around like a chicken with it's head cut off she finally had all of her things and darted out the door, making sure to lock it before running to the stairs. The elevator wouldn't be fast enough, it hardly ever was.
After descending fifteen flights of stairs she took a moment in the lobby to catch her breath before heading out onto the street. Her cell phone rang as she got a questioning call from the band she was working with, wondering where their engineer was. "I'm so sorry guys! I'll be there in fifteen minutes. Lunch is on me." She hung up the phone, tossed it into her purse and darted around town as fast as she could. For being so short and standing in high heels she was making very good time, and when she walked into the building she worked in she tried to remain calm.
Calmly flattening her shirt so that it wasn't all ruffled she walked down various hallways until she was in the recording studio that she was working on. Stepping inside, she cleared her throat, tossed her bag on the coat hanger and offered an apologetic smile. "Feel free to chastise me." The boys were pretty good, but she knew they'd bug her just for fun.
