Contrary to her career, Harper does not, by any means, dress slutty. She takes pride in her astounding beauty, looking for the best clothes to accent her slender frame. Like any big city woman, Harper loves shoes, specifically heels, choosing the finer designers when she's not working.

Harper Alvaro and Naomi Wilde are two completely different people.

Harper is, in most cases, a refined and beautiful woman with a deep appreciation for the arts. She lives for the theater, loves ballet and buys all her opera tickets the day they go on sale. An innate introvert, Harper loves to muse about life, often scribbling little poems across any surface she can find, taking her inspiration from human nature and the beauty of the physical world. To be or not to be was the subject of her twenty page senior thesis in high school. The analytical masterpiece earned her a scholarship for the City University of New York. However, Naomi has a way to thwart Harper’s brilliance.

The literary scholar’s alter ego, Naomi Wilde, is a hedonist. She was born from an intense addiction to prescription medication and alcohol. Naomi loves sex, drugs and anything that can get her both of them at the same time. It was because of Naomi’s constant meddling in Harper’s life that the woman dropped out of college and turned to her questionable lifestyle. The pair forms a volatile personality where both lust and materialism foil any good intention. Harper can sometimes keep Naomi at bay, but has never proven her ability to ward off her demons completely. What exactly causes the woman to phase between personalities is unclear. Initially, it was a suppressed desire to experiment, but lately it seems to be a switch that strikes deadened nerves as she gyrates on stage.

HISTORY:

Born in the Bronx, Harper lived the life of an upper-lower class family. Both her mother and her father worked their fingers to the bone just to make ends meet. Because of their tight work schedules, her parents hardly ever had time to spend with their three children. The trio, including Harper’s older sister, Julia, and their younger brother, Aaron, became tightly knit siblings, relying on each other to get through the hardships of life. However, as the children grew into their teens, they began to grow apart. Julia coasted through her high school years while Aaron was more involved with sports. Harper was the only one of the Alvaro children with any real academic talent, writing eloquent short stories and moving poems through her educational career.

When Harper was seventeen, three months before her eighteenth birthday, her then boyfriend brought her to a party on a questionable side of the city. At first, the prudent scholar was opposed to engaging in the underage drinking and drug abuse, but after some coaxing from her boyfriend, Harper took her first shot. Several hours later, at four in the morning, Harper mounted her coked out boyfriend and engaged in what would become a lifestyle of drugs and meaningless fucking. She graduated from high school a few months later, her grades slipping in the final semester to failing marks.

Harper attended her freshman year of college at CUNY while her still boyfriend, Richard, lurked around the streets and ghettos of the city, selling crack rocks and stolen pharmaceuticals. She dropped out of college before the end of the first semester and cut off all communication with her family. For six years, Harper lived under the alias “Naomi,” as she turned tricks for quick cash to supply her and her boyfriend’s heroin addiction. Those several years are what Harper considers to be the darkest time of her life and she never really manages to go into detail when she does talk about it. All that anybody can figure out is that Richard did, in fact, pimp out his faithful girlfriend for drugs and that Skully, as he was called, was shot in the head ten times. The New York Police Department simply ruled it as a drug deal gone wrong with little evidence and no witnesses to go off of. Naomi moved out of the Bronx, adding “Wilde” to the end of her stage name and taking up work as an exotic dancer. She spent the last two years of her life training in dance, funding the educational adventure with a large sum of cash she claims to be inheritance.

Currently, Harper, as she is called off stage, has remained sober and clean of any illicit activities, but continues to perform on a nightly basis at Shiver Nightclub, filling a variety of roles from cage dancer to headliner.
