The City of Angels is anything but heavenly. This city is soaked in blood.
Drugs, gangs, violence, poverty, the superficial, desperate wannabes. They're all here, on every street-corner, every beach, every studio lot.
One neighborhood in L.A., however, has something the others don't. During the day, it appears nearly desolate, but after dark, Midnight Town comes alive (or undead, if you prefer). Remember how you heard on the news that vampires are real and live among us? Well, a whole mess of them live in Midnight Town. Hollywood, ever obsessed with eternal youth and beauty, loves the vamps. The way the paparazzi stalks them, they've become a lot like celebrities. No wonder so many of them have decided to get in on the entertainment business. What does it matter that they're not nearly as harmless as they purport to be? Organized crime and murder are easily overlooked when you've got the box office booming.
Perhaps cold and cruel isn't your style. Do you like fluffy and wild? You'll be pleased to know that where there are vampires, there are werewolves and shifters. The L.A. Lupines are a powerful pack. Their strength derives from their close knit bonds, from treating each member like family. Not so with Los Salvajes, the Wild Ones, shifters from all over whose only common trait is their abilities. They have almost no power at all. Yet, the balance of power can always... shift. (Pun totally intended.)
