One of the eldest of Vampire Covens. These Vampires try to uphold order and law amoungst their kind and even amounst other Covens. Their biggest concern with the other Covens is upholding the most important law - Do Not Expose Vampires To The World. They see to making sure witnesses are dealt with and those who infract upon the law are punished.

These duties aside, the Aranai live a very demanding life. Many of this Coven are of high importance to human society, owning important businesses and acting as politicians. They always seek control over the human society, in every way possible, as this control is the best method of keeping exposure levels down.

All of these weights upon their lives are not without benefit. These connections to the human society allow for anything the Coven can dream of to be a reality. They posses untold wealth and have access to any kind of resource they wish, such as arms and technology. They are the only Coven to have such things at their disposal.

Feeding is discouraged within this clan unless the subject is a newborn. As Aranai try desperately to keep the humans in check, it is often felt that the feeding and thus, killing of a human is a waste. Especially when money can buy an alternative. The Aranai own various bloodbanks across New York, granting them access to more blood without the messy kills.

The Aranai are reknowned for their discipline and martial capability. Aranai do not like to fight without weaponry, and take pride in their weapons, often handed down through the Coven. Other Covens wonder if the Aranai have lost their feral instincts completely, and are able to fight without them.

The Aranai fight with honor and pride. They will not take advantage of anothers weakness unless the foe is deserving or was made to be that way (such as disarming them). They do not attack unsuspecting foes, and do not use cheap tactics. Should the foe be defeated, Aranai rarely deal a absolute, unless there is a reason the foe should be slain.

Aranai seek power and control in any form. They will fight to their death to protect and uphold it, and are known to be quite good at doing so. They choose the moral high-ground over personal preference, despite how unpleasant or impossible their task may seem.

As disgusting as the other Covens claim it to be, the Aranai are on a neutral terms with the Numot, the Vampire Hunters. Often they find that their goals are the same, and unless they themselves are attacked, have no quarrel with the humans. Rather than spill needless, precious blood, Aranai will simply let them pass, though they are always wary.

Most Aranai choose to have the Coven symbol tattoo'd into their forearms, though some have chosen to have it etched into their backs instead.

The Aranai headquarters is adorned with everything money can buy. In addition to weapons, armour, and many high-tech gadgets, the HQ is also a flourishing research center that most Aranai are a part of in their own ways.
