also called the theater district, times square is a major commercial intersection at the junction of broadway and seventh avenue. this is perhaps the most well recognized area in new york city.

the first permanent home of the new york stock exchange, wall street signifies the historical financial center of the united states. it has come to be known as the financial district.

this sky-scraper stands over five hundred meters tall and houses the offices of frostbite industries. here is where the company does most of its commercial work in research and arms.

an incredibly dangerous, yet picturesque clearing located some hundreds of feet above newtown creek. this a secret location kept between painters. very few people know of its existence.

built as the replacement for shea stadium, it is named after citigroup and is the home baseball park of the new york mets. the stadium is located in flushing meadows-corona park.

a calm river that flows through queens.its edges are lined with small business docks. though because it is so heavily used, the river has become of the most polluted industrial sites in america.

located in western queens, this is the unofficial theater district of the borough. it is becoming an artistic hub and the best place to find raw acting and writing talent.

arguably the hottest nightclub in the area, this place is known for having the best music and the sexiest patrons. it is also one of the most exclusive nightclubs in new york city.

a branch of the largest public library, the building houses over twenty million books and is one of the most significant research libraries. all books are available free of charge.

comprised of 30 historic buildings and sites dating from the late seventeenth to early twentieth century, it is an open-air live museum. the town seems to be a step back in time.

one of three hospitals in staten island, the building is a two-campus teaching hospital. the hospital maintains an academic affiliation with the state university of new york.

newly renovated, the landmarked building hosts a variety of activities including educational programs, television and film shoots, concerts, and comedy shows.

breathtaking and magnificent, the ancient clock tower overlooks the bay and has a fantastic view of the city. the tower is closed to visitors.

small and uninhabited, this island is best known as the location of the statue of liberty. the statue has become the image of freedom for americans.

new york city is dotted with various marinas and docks, some used for business while others are used for personal entertainment. they are one of the main ways to enter the city and outlying islands.

this island has a population under ten thousand and is one of the quietest areas in new york city. it is a mostly residential area. an abandoned prison is also located here.
